Yogatails is on a mission to bring yoga to as many children in schools, nurseries, community classes and family workshops in the East Midlands as possible. Yogatails classes are educational, inspiring and are very much about developing the whole child both mentally and physically in a safe and nurturing environment- but most of all they are a lot of fun!
School and nursery classes can also be designed to support curriculum learning within any current themes.
Yoga is a great way to improve a child's endurance in other physical activities, helping them maintain stamina and flexibility as they grow. Yoga helps the body relax while stretching, strengthening and lengthening the muscles. Children will also learn about their anatomy, learn how posture can affect their mood and develop spatial awareness through our fun, informative and interactive classes.
Yoga not only helps improve the body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. These concepts are gently introduced through baby yoga nidra, guided relaxation and breathing exercises. Children learn about the mind body connection and how to use these techniques to help them deal with the stresses and anxieties they may experience in their day to day lives, improving their focus, resilience, mental wellbeing, self esteem and respect for themselves and others.
